ABOUT

Internship

Industrial training is a key component of the curriculum at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). Students are given the opportunity to select any organization for their internship, either within Malaysia or internationally. However, it is recommended that the chosen organization aligns with UUM's guidelines and curriculum.

The term "practicum" refers to a student's placement in an organization, where they undertake supervised practical exercises in their selected field, either locally or abroad, for the required duration before completing their bachelor’s degree. For my industrial training, I chose CUC Culture Sdn Bhd, located in Sentul Village, where I completed my four-month internship. During my time there, I was assigned to work in the front office management and food and beverage department.

This program bridges theoretical knowledge with practical application, allowing students do develop industry-relevant skills. It also enables organisations ranging from private companies to government agencies and NGOs to share expertise and mentor future professionals. Additionally, the training fosters strong between UUM and industry partners, creating valuable connection that benefit both students and organisations.
